A BRIEF HISTORY OF NORTHWEST FAMILY

NWFC began in 1910 in a small community known as Pleasant View on the south side of the river. Many things have changed over the 100+ years of ministry. What began as a baptist church embraced the Holy Spirit in the 1950’s in 2018 became Northwest Family Church and affiliated with the Assemblies of God. Pastor Jeff has been leading our church since 2017.

During the pandemic in 2020 the Lord led us to rent a second campus in Post Falls and have services both at the West and new North Campuses each Sunday.

In 2023 the North Campus was sold and after much prayer we combined our services to one and moved our Sunday gathering to the Boys and Girls club in Post Falls. Another important addition in 2023 was The Assembly in Sandpoint approached us about taking over the ownership and operations of the church campus in Kellogg, ID that they took on as a PAC a year prior. We felt clearly that this was the Lord’s will and created Northwest Family Church, Silver Valley Campus. After a year of cleaning up the church and completely restoring the interior of the parsonage we are ready to add a campus champion to lead that effort.

We are seeking a team player who is passionate about seeing people find faith and Jesus and grow to their God given potential. This full-time pastoral team member’s responsibilities would include being the campus pastor at our Silver Valley Campus and leading the youth ministry at our Post Falls campus. Compensation will come from a salary and living in a 4 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom parsonage located just down the street from the church campus in Kellogg.

SILVER VALLEY CAMPUS PASTOR/ POST FALLS YOUTH PASTOR BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION

1. SILVER VALLEY CAMPUS PASTOR

· Follow the mission and vision laid out by the Lead Pastor.
· Give direct oversight to all ministries pertaining to the Silver Valley Campus.
· Develop and empower teams for the Sunday Morning experience: I.e. Greeters, coffee, Media, Worship, Count & Closers, Kid’s Church & Nursery. (the Post Falls worship and children’s pastors are scheduling volunteers to send over and will continue to do so until this campus becomes self-sustainable.)
· Speak at the Silver Valley campus on a regular basis.
· Be on the speaking rotation for the Post Falls campus. (This will give you opportunity to share with the Post Falls campus all the great things that are happening in Kellogg. One of the PF pastors will fill the Kellogg pulpit when you are in PF.)
· Give direct oversight to the cleaning & maintenance of the Silver Valley properties.
· Encourage and disciple those who attend the SV Campus.
· Form and create avenues or events to reach out to the Kellogg community.
· Co-labor with the Post Falls staff by attending weekly pastoral staff meetings, monthly board meetings, relational staff events, and annual retreats.
· Strive to work within the NWFC bylaws and culture/DNA.
· Work within the assigned budget.

2. YOUTH PASTOR

· Give direct oversight to youth ministry at the Post Falls Campus.
· Recruit, train, and encourage youth ministry leaders.
· Provide avenues of discipleship for students.
· Train, and encourage students who feel a call to full time ministry.
· Hold monthly to bi-monthly events that encourage student life, friendship, spiritual growth, and fun.
· Attend or Recruit someone to attend Summer/Winter youth camps & retreats.
· Organize and run youth services on Wednesday nights in Post Falls.
